River Events: River Workdays

April 17, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. Earthday Volunteer River Walk Workday
Volunteers are invited to clean-up and restore the Housatonic Riverbank in Great Barrington and to continue the River Walk trail. This year we focus on removing 'invasive exotics' and replanting with native trees, shrubs and plants at the W.E.B. Du Bois River Garden, for a new restoration project behind Brooks Pharmacy, and elsewhere along the riverbank.
Volunteers are welcome to work on other days with landscapers Monica Fadding of Marconica and Heather Cupo of Plant Euphoria. Crews will work twice monthly. Please telephone ahead to make arrangements. We will also arrange special learning service workdays for schools, groups and camps.
