Fine Art Auction

This fine art auction is being sponsored by the Sheffield Art League. The paintings, all displayed on this page, have been donated by four well-known regional artists and all proceeds will be used to benefit the Housatonic River. Descriptions of the paintings have been provided by Geoffrey Young.

The auction will be conducted using an online format; please read the bidding instructions below.

The auction begins at 8 a.m. on July 12, 2004 and ends at 7:00 p.m., September 10, 2004.

The images on these pages may vary in color from the originals; we recommend you see the actual paintings.
The paintings may be viewed:
July 1-31 Lenox Library, Main Street, Lenox, MA (free admission)
Aug 13-Sep 19 Norman Rockwell Museum, Stockbridge, MA (museum admission charge)

The paintings must remain on view at the Norman Rockwell Museum through September 19, at which time they may be picked up or shipped.

A designated SAL person will receive this info and place an online proxy bid.
